What do you imagine a day in your life would look like if your town's economy dramatically improved?

 @9JQ6NZG from Minnesota answered…3mos3MO

I think a major change that I would see is people might be more happier in general.

 @9JQ59YD from Connecticut answered…3mos3MO

I believe that life would be much better, as many daily activities would become cheaper, and would improve things such as the environment/pollution.

 @9JQ4T7Manswered…3mos3MO

I think everything would be much better and everyone would be much happier if they were able to all live the life they would like. If nobody had to worry about money anymore, life would be a lot more stress-free and overall better.

Developmentalism in the international economic context can be understood as consisting of a set of ideas which converge to place economic development at the center of political endeavors and institutions and also as a means through which to establish legitimacy in the political sphere.

Should individual financial success be sacrificed for the sake of collective economic development?

 @9H7SYBT from North Carolina answered…6mos6MO

No I feel like if you worked hard you should earn the money you worked for when someone else did nothing and don't deserve the money they would receive.

 @9H7TQYJ from Texas answered…6mos6MO

Some argue that individual financial success acts as a potent incentive for innovation, entrepreneurship, and hard work, and sacrificing this prospect may diminish the motivation for individuals to excel and contribute to economic growth. Critics of sacrificing individual financial success stress the significance of personal freedom and the right to enjoy the fruits of one's labor, asserting that individuals should be free to pursue their economic interests without undue interference. Additionally, opponents argue that a thriving economy depends on a dynamic private sector, suggesting that allowing individuals to pursue their economic goals is essential for efficient resource allocation and innovation.

 @9H7T35W from Indiana answered…6mos6MO

NO. Seriously. Being in a capitalist economy is good for us. We don't need our individual success to be taken.

 @9H7VJH8 from Pennsylvania answered…6mos6MO

collective economic abundance will ensure every person is successful, rich, happy, healthy, and at peace.

Is it more important for a country to be economically independent or to have strong international trade relations?

 @9H7Q257 from Indiana answered…6mos6MO

 @9H7QP5G from Oklahoma answered…6mos6MO

Economic independence would be better, but both are desired. The former supports the latter in my opinion. Being strong economically provides stronger footing for trade deals and resistance against unfair deals.

 @9H7QKF2 from Georgia answered…6mos6MO

Strong International trade relations are important but, a country should also hold a strong independent economy.

 @9H7QTYFanswered…6mos6MO

i feel like it is more important for a country to be economically independent because if they are always relying on other countries to help them in situations, then they are never going to advance and or grow with their country.

As a student, are you willing to adapt your career plans to meet the needs of your country's development goals?

 @9H7T4R5 from Utah answered…6mos6MO

 @9H7TQYJ from Texas answered…6mos6MO

 @9H7SNY6Peace and Freedom from Florida answered…6mos6MO

Do you think a country should invest in modern technology even if it means job losses in traditional sectors?

 @9H7VRTZ from Nebraska answered…6mos6MO

I think we should invest in modern technology to lose the physical/human work force required for certain jobs, such as labor/sweat shops. However, we must also make sure that the jobs lost are replaced, such as if we lost work to robotic hands doing labor, their should be jobs for maintenance of these robots

Would you be willing to pay higher taxes if it meant better infrastructure and public services resulting from economic growth?

 @9HJZL29 from Oklahoma answered…5mos5MO

Yes. Taxes that go to privatized or underdeveloped services will likely decrease the cost of living associated with privatization, and at least will improve access and overall quality of life on average (especially for those who were entirely unable to access such services before).

 @9HJZDWP from New York answered…5mos5MO

Absolutely. I already pay a butt ton in taxes, and it goes towards things I don’t agree with.

How do you think your daily life would change if your country focused solely on self-sufficiency instead of global trade?
