How does diversity and inclusion fit into your vision of a progressive future?

My philosophy states "I do not care what or who you recognize yourself as. As long as you respect, I'll respect you."

I think it is a big part of a progressive future but it should be achieved naturally instead of inflating diversity through media because that just skews reality and makes the united states seem more diverse than it is.
