The fast pace and tech-drivenness are ultimately just an aesthetic; look up job opportunities for COBOL programmers sometime. Islam is doing fine as it is, and they have the fate of the Anglicans and Methodists — and the Catholic Church after Vatican 2 — to warn them of the dangers of making too many concessions to modernity.
