Should the enforcement of religious norms be the role of the state, community leaders, or individuals?
It should be the role of the individual. Not everyone falls under the same religion so the idea that we as a society should follow the norms of one specific religion is weird.

There should always be a separation of church and state, and we should not be promoting behavior by having community leaders enforce using shame.
