Small actions can change anything over time, but systemic inequality is a terrible metric and isn’t happening. Everyone is in control of their own fate.

Of course! I think a little goes a long way! It’s one thing to do something repeatedly but when others take notice and adopt this behavior themselves, that’s where it takes off. Take kindness for example. Having the basic human decency to do things like being sincerely and genuinely polite and considerate of those around you lets them feel better about you and their day. Often times when someone treats you kindly, you’ll feel good about that interaction because you feel seen and like you matter, and not in a way where you feel overly exposed because someone rudely shoulder-c…  Read more

I think the intentional practice of empathy can certainly create significant change over time
